Having lived in Bethnal Green for a number of years, I was thrilled to discover Spitalfields Life, a blog with daily posts on matters relating to the area, which can range from interviews with 'Mr Sammy', owner of Beigel Bake, to a serialised account of the Ratcliffe Highway murders of 1811 (on corresponding dates no less). The Gentle Author's words are as well-chosen as his subjects, so it makes for addictive reading, particularly if, like me, you have a fascination with an area that stems from things you notice when walking it.

I was humbled to be interviewed for the blog about the Oranges & Lemons and Pop! Goes the Weasel posters.

After some kind attention with a toothbrush and turps the new face has been proofed and is clean and cosy in case [thanks Ian]. Next on the list is to draw up the missing letters and get lineblocks cut to complete it.
